Mortimus Clay is a professor of philosophy, a builder of buildings, a shepherd of sheep, and a lessor of land. But more than any of these he is a teller of tales.

He lives in Connecticut and shares his domicile with his wife, three children, two dogs, two fish, and countless microscopic dust mites.

From his humble home he travels to the far reaches of the Universe. The Purloined Boy is just one of the stories he has discovered in his wanderings.
